I was headed to Pendleton, IN. to run an errand for my wife and I was running behind when I got stuck at LONG traffic light.. All of a sudden crossing arms lit up and came down. I saw coming from the west a BNSF train.. Grabbed the 35mm as soon as I could and only had 24-70mm lens on it. I was stuck at light(stays red when train is inbound) so pics aren’t perfect, but they’re pretty good!

We don’t get many of them here in Indianapolis area and they are my favorite railroad and also the railroad I am modeling!!!! I've been trying to catch one for a while. Made my day!!!!!

I put camera back in bag and then looked up to see a NS with a Dash 9 and I think a SD40-2 headed west on my side of the track.. Missed that shot!

It's a CSX train that happens to have a BNSF engine leading it. From the first photo it appears to be a unit grain train.

Hmm Thats what railroad it is? Hard to tell some times with all the run through and lease units being used today.Sheesh some times its hard to tell if NS still runs through Bucyrus or if BNSF or UP has gain trackage rights. Now I am told that KCS will be rolling through town on their way to Pittsburgh via the Pittsburgh connector though some type of NS/KCS trackage right deal.KCS/CSX already has such a deal to Marion for intermodal service...
