Scenery and dryer sheets?

I was wondering, has anyone used "used dryer sheets" in place of paper towels or gauze when building up the terrain on a layout?:???: My wife and I have a couple of grocery bags that we have been saving to do this with.

Remember...it's for fun!
It seems like that would work. I guess I'd experiement with one to see how well it absorbed the plaster or whatever other adhesive medium you plan to use. Recycle, re-use! Hope it works!

Been using drier sheets for over 20 years now.I attach mine with white glue then go from there. You can use soupy plaster, diluted white glue or just simply paint it and add ground cover.

You can also take a sheet to your local fabric store where they can match it up for you then sell it to you by the yard.If I remember correctly it is less than $2.00 a yard (long) by about 52" wide.(could be wrong about the width though)

Certainly not in books. A book will just tell one or two ways of making scenery and suggest that they have to be followed very closely.
