Tom, Yep fresh pie and today grandma is canning homemade jam!
I gave Tyler some detail parts for his building so now the roof will look more realistic, even has a few birds!

Do you weather before or after the dull coat? And I have used hairspraiy to seal in the weathering, although I am not 8 yrs. old and did not have to worry about glue showing!

I dull coat them weather I weather it or not. I am not 8 either but I do smear the glue at times.:mrgreen: I also resconsruct old building i get on ebay and at shows and also kit bash them from time to time and they will show old glue. As I said I do smear a litte testors. I admire those who dont and those who can airbrush deatils and wearthering to such a fine degree like you see in the train magazines.
It does fog the glass in windows however.
When I weather a structure I fix it with Dull coat as well.
I use chalk for somethings and dilured water base craft paints for others.
Sometimes I use rust red primer and flat black spray paints in the can from KMart.
Walthers New River coal tipple in HO, above, weathered with spray paint and Dull Coat.
Below Lione O ga colaing station done in the same fashion with coal glued in the bins and MTH miners attached...

I think you should enter your project in the Kitbuild Challenge. BTW, let me know if you do so I can withdraw mine! Great job on your first project. I can't wait to see your 100th project! Don't forget to thank Grandpa......

They are OK, they have UMW insurance. They may have to however if thier jobs are out sourceed or if they are replace by illegals as the mine owners are lobbying for in KY.

There are no people on the building!! just 2 roof vents a skylight and 2 birds!
