I,am not sure if I,am doing this right but I guess I won,t know unless I try. I model the Toronto Hamilton & Buffalo RR (TH&B) in Ho gauge in mid 1950,s I have been working on my layout off and on for a few years but now that I retired I should more time. Computers are new to me and just discovering these forums I think they are great. there is so much info out there and no matter how long your in the hobby you are never to old to learn from others. You do know the GAUGE has a age limit?

Just joking TH.

I hope you enjoy the gauge, retirement and your trains.

Hi TH&B, welcome to the Gauge. The place is still a bit of a mess, as we've just recently moved in. Since most of the photos haven't made the move, here's a little something to help you feel at home.

There are also a few other TH&B fans around here, besides us.

Remember...it's for fun!
Glad you could join us! I was kind of hoping Wayne would make himself known and post one of his TH&B pics! As a Penn Central modeler I'm aware of the connections between the PC the TH&B and Canada.

Another new member of the group. When I found this site I was looking for some information on improving the Presidents Choice Santa Fe. There was something on the Bachmann website a while back but it's gone now. Any helpers?

Welcome home TH&B RR.
DoctorWayne is our local TH&B guru here at The Gauge and he is always helpful. I'm sure you'll learn plenty from him.
I'm from Montreal, never been to Hamilton nor to Buffalo but I have a weak spot for the TH&B railroad.
I'm modeling in N scale and had not too much problem to find some engines and rolling stock for the TH&B.

Hello and welcome to our nuthouse.
I didn't even know how to turn a computer on a few years ago. Now I can fix them :D or that's the rumour anyhow. It is not as hard as some make it out to be.
Lots of cool people here with lots of cool websites.
Click our links [mostly in our signatures] and enjoy the ride. Lots of info out there so sit back with a cuppa and have fun. :)

Welcome aboard!

Prepare to have a good time. I've been here a while and have learned a lot as well as having a good time chatting with the folks here.

Nice to have you on board, Ron - one more Gauger called Ron!:mrgreen::mrgreen:

Somewhere I read that people in the vicinity of the TH&B nicknamed the line "To Hell & Back". Well I hope your stay here is more in the lines of "to Heaven and back", because there's a bunch of nice guys (and a few gals) around. Model railroader's heaven, so to speak! :thumb:

Ralph, as soon as I get a scanner, I hope to post some TH&B proto pictures, and a couple of them, taken in Hamilton, include PC diesels.

Biased turkey is too kind! While the TH&B is my favourite prototype, and I did spend the first 6 years of my life with the coach yard and mainline through Hamilton viewable from our front porch, I wouldn't consider myself an expert. On my layout, set in the 1930s, I have an interchange with the TH&B at Port Maitland, and some suitable rolling stock, but no loco. The two diesels in the photo were featured in Model Railroader's Paint Shop many years ago, and I do have some rolling stock suitable for use with them, on those rare occasions when I run 1950s equipment.
Eventually, I'll get some of my photos reposted here, to show a bit more stuff.:-D

Sorry I missed your post, Alan. :eek:ops: Welcome to the Gauge.
I'm not familiar with the set that you speak of, but if you could give us some more info or a couple of pictures, I'm sure that somebody here will be able to help.
