Bandai 1/144th and 1/350th Resistance Vehicle combo kit.

Next up is this little 3 ship set,


1/350th Millinium Falcon, and 2, 1/144th T-70 X-Wings

The Falcon is small but still bigger than the Micro Machines die cast falcon, and more accurate then the small Revell blister Falcon....

And the 2 1/144th T-70's are in the same scale as my Bandai 1/144th Falcon...

I'm starting with the 1/350th Millinium Falcon, it's a little jewel, parts are on 4 sprues,


Primed with Vallejo Primer,


Base coated with Vallejo SilverGrey


and the weathering process started with a dark grey wash...


after the wash dries, I'll do some highlights,

after the grey wash dried I added highlights with a medium grey, then a light grey.

with so few parts assembly went quick...

the color call outs were all stickers, this kit didn't come with the option of water slide decals, just the pressure sensitive stickers.

Even though it is a snap-tite kit, I still glued all the pieces together.

The scale of the model allowed the mold makers to concentrate and greeble the heck out of thee mold. I was a Mold maker for a while, a very strenuous job, and if people knew what into making a mold cost, they would be shocked. If it wasn't that they can pump out 100,000 of these models out of one mold, the million dollar price tags regularly seen would see then reasonable. Great job, it's nice knowing this kit exists.

Agreed "Z", even if they are almost all made in Communist China now a days, the model companies still gotta charge good prices to make a profit once these molds are made.

Mold making is Mold making. I did it for a few years before moving onto Robotics. Never again!!

I did somewhat the same but in the art field with cast bronze and aluminum. I also worked in a factory setting making full size molds for plastic vacuformed parts out of steel. I wish I could get my hands on the old injected molds from the old model makers, just for me! I really hate the new resin kits and their ridiculous prices... but they can re-make the silicon molds whenever one wears out. Material cost is very low.. They pay sculptures nothing.. and charge 300 times what the end product is worth.. nope... Not going there! The newer plastic kits, yes are expensive, but I have seen some that were jaw dropping, and at a reasonable price, more than I want to spend, but fair!
Zoukei Mura 1:32 WWII German Focke-Wulf Ta-152 H-0 , I have actually seen on sale for 30$ ... regular 60+-

Your going to have a very nice Star Wars display when you are done. I hope you don't have too many kids over, or grabby adults. They will be irresistible.

Oh wow.
I also have done some of the Bandai models - which by the way are very good - but your way
to give them a separat colouring is great.
I always did some weathering to make a more realistic view, but not in this quality.
