Metal Earth Models of the Star Wars Universe

Hey Starbuck:
Awesome models.
I was curious if you made progress pictures of the build for Vader's ship.
I purchased the model a few months ago but haven't started it. I was wondering about any hints other than what you had posted about the guns.
Thanks,
Dave
Sorry I did not make picutures of the build.
Best Tip I can give (for all models) - before closing parts check whether other parts have to be added to this part. If possible add them before closing the
big part although the instruction says to close it first.
Beside the guns I do not remember any hints. Round parts (like cockpit) are always a challange.
Good luck and have fun.

Another one finished - Kylo Ren´s Shuttle.
Was an rather easy model - recommended for beginners.

I have this kit (as well as a few others). I have not put it together yet. I will be using this thread as a guide when I start them.

Just follow the instruction - then the model will come together nicely.
You always have an engraved side and one which is not. If it is not clear from the description - just check what should be visible - this is the engraved side.
Check whether parts have to be inserted on other parts before closing them. The description sometimes closes the part and then you have the problem that it is very hard to fix the additional parts.
Good luck for your Metal Earth projects.

Thank you very much for the advice.

Enclosed the latest puzzle finished. X-wing from episode 7.
It is a rather easy model to build. Just look closely to the instuction to avoid mistakes regarding engraphed and non engraphed side.
And a photo of all star wars models done til now.

My favorite ship is the Z-95 Headhunter - not far away from the X-Wing.
If you check pictures in the net you will find many variations of this fighter (mashines, cockpit....), but this is the one I like best.
It is the predecessor of the X-Wing.
Unfortunately as far as I know now good paper-model exists of this fighter. z95green_0.jpg

I like it because it isn't an X wing which makes no sense anyhow. This one does. :)

I found a 3D model of this, but it has a lot of errors.

This one I just found looks better. I can't get to it in Rhino yet, as it seems locked? :)

So, just to "add to the mixer" :) the Z95 form X-Wing Alliance :)

Edit - There is a better model from the X-Wing Alliance Upgrade project, you do need the game to get access to it. (exe file installs into the game folder, then you can open with Pepakuria) I'll see what I can do with it.

This one looks like a kitbashing model with an ARC-Fighter (wings and cannons)- also an interesting idea.
And, here's some screenshots :)
I see two different models. Firs two pics with the mashines splittet in two engines (front). The other ones the front of the mashine has the "big" mashine.
(Hope you know what I mean)
I think that the "big" mashine makes the difference to the classic X-Wing - and this is what I like.

Still hoping that someone will discover this beautiful fighter and that a good paper model will be created.

I know what you mean, I would have called those the engine intakes :)

There are two different "versions", different people worked on revamping the ship for the game. Maybe, (I'm not promising anything :)) I might fiddle around with it...

I'm not the best designer :(

Currently trying to get a Star Destroyer to work as a model from the same game. I also haven't been able to find a good one.

It wouldn't be hard to make new wings on the "kitbashed" one. It has the best fuselage. I like this one below, as the one to model off of, I was finally able to open it. It has 100,000 curves in it. Whoever made this model (the kitbashed one) was a hack. It would take 10 hours just to clean it up.:
