Hi Guys Just started new build
I've started with engine and I hope it will fit into fuselage without to much modyfications.

I've seen people turn these into fantastic model. I'd pick out a plane to put it in!

Frame from Part PE set is complete. No it's time for time consuming proces of modificating fuselage halfs to fit it inside.


While I'll be drilling, sanding fuselage while banging my head saying "what have I put myself into again" I would like You to pick painting scheme for this little bird:

I have this great book on D.VII. All deatails there. I highly recomend it for anybody building this plane.

Hi there Folks Sorry for not posting build progres but actually there was nothing special to show. Model was fun to make (except decal those were horrible :/ ).
That beeing said let me present You finished Fokker D.VII flown by Ernst Udet as Bigpetr voted

Damn!! You just banged that out like that, that fast!! Would have been nice to see some process. So few non fictional models built here. I love it!! I love aircraft. Nice looking, especially nice for a plastic model. It would not have looked as good without the attention you gave it.

Well there really wasnt much work after making place in fuselage halfs for frame. Next in line is Revell 1/72 Blackburn Buccaneer S Mk.2B. Kit comes without interior and exterior is very simplified so I will try to make it with "Zero mindset"

The Buccaneer is one of the most underrated aircraft. They were was used very effectively in the gulf wars. Truly a magnificent aircrat. Not to pretty, but very deadly.

There's great probability that this is same kit- old revell/matchbox one
But You Guys will have to way a little bit for new thread. I'm on attempt to scrachbuild ejection seats right now. I hope they will be ready on weekend

I find his line somehow classic for British '70s construction... and damn it's a large one

Mine was Airfix I was very fussy with the brands after I bought a few "second rate" kits that had very poor moulding

Well mine is Revell and it sucks But I knew what I'm gettiing in Except very simplified sets there is no interior. Exterior is also almost without details so I plan to scribe lines for the first time in my modelmaking career

Tamiya and Airfix where my chosen favorites. I did purchase around 6 1.8 scale Monogram Jaguar kits for around $35 bucks each, after I learned from the new the molds had been destroyed. That was a very long time ago. I have one left, 80% assembled, and I sold the last kit, new in the box, with the plastic still on for $375 dollars, last year. I have an original Renwahl Visible V-8 from the 1960's in the original box. I probably will build that with my son in the Summer. I have another 8 or 8 vintage model kits around, and some JoHans somewhere, which cost a fortune now.

This pic shows how detailed the Jaguar is. The suspension works, and the windows roll up and down with the interior handle, it is huge, 1/8th scale:

I will, now that the plastic section is taking off. I had hoped we would see some action here. I am trying to allow ZEALOT be a place where people can "do their thing", with sharing, and caring in mind. It seems to be what the members want, and I want to try and reflect that, and have the forum be that. Thou art that, that thou art. :hide:
