It works, but nobody has been able to figure out how to get anything useful from it!

That's sheet one of sixteen. I wonder what the rest look like. Philo Farnsworth was the first human being to see his image of himself on a modified oscilloscope. He invented the first T.V. at around 26 years old. He secured a loan in the middle of the depression from a Banker for $25000 dollars, which was around a million today. He got the idea of a scanning electron beam while riding his bicycle by a farmers just planted field, and see all the lines, he though if he could scan lines with an electron beam, he could capture and produce an image, which means he must have produced the camera too. He won the court battle against Westinghouse, who was working unbeknownst to him on the same thing. Westinghouse conceded, and they joined forces . He truly is a great American Hero. My facts my be sketchy, but it's worth reading up on. :)

Oh I'm so glad I popped by to check on progress of this project. Well done Jan you've done yourself proud. I can't wait to see a paper build of it start now. I'm hoping that it will be possible to scale it down to a gaming scale - ie somewhere around 1:57 - I'm sure that will make building even more of a challenge than normal but I'm up for giving it a go, even if it means making some of the moving parts static. I'd also be interested in seeing it 3d printable in that scale.

Fantastic work so far, a work of art.

Amazing, just amazing!
Jan.....You're a master! :Bravo::Bravo::Bravo:
I wanted to ask you something, do you think you can reduce the scale and print with a 3D printer?
Split the model into blocks and then assemble them, I think this will not lose the details and all the mechanisms would work.
Still compliments !!

Wait till he finishes the model. That's a lot to ask you know. A real lot. Think about it, O.K.? Personally, I would not expect a response from such a request. Just being real. It is an awesome piece though. I would not expect a designer to give up his CAD model of his work, which is what you are asking for essentially. You could easily scale the model down yourself with Photoshop, then do the measurements after you build it, and make your 3D printed model. :)

3d printer is not bad idea, I want to buy one, but this model i primary paper designed, there is lots of issues for the printer.....maybe after the finished model I´ll make 3d printer friendly model ;)

hi guys....i need some other work to do because this project is drowned me. I want to prevent this stuff from burnout....so I ve decided to ressurect my older projects in the meantime.
One of them is my old favourite VIC VIPER craft from the game Nemesis 2 for GameBoy....If you want, follow me for a while , jump here :)

OK Jan if you want what about the Robinson project with the multiple ships?

http://www.alienspapercraft.com/robinson.html

Some of these ships look like they have a pretty neat design. Looking froward to seeing the Next Liner, Solar Explorer, Opalia, and especially the Neucom:). Just wondering if you're interested.:angelic: Hope you're able to get everything back up and running sometime.

It is allmost like neverending story. Another 4 years have passed (we partially know why....c19) ad nothing happend (in paper dropship project).

I have good news. I´ve decreased the colaboration wit ABC nagazine and released my projects for download.....so, from now on i have free hand for long therm projects (DROPSHIP, NEMESIS) with some fast & easy ones (ASTRORACERS) between them.

If nothing unusual will happend ...

...I am back ;)
