Well, I really want to build a rescaled version of this. 2x at least. the cannon section went together easier than I expected. Over all I would rate this a 10/10.
I took some liberties and crushed the oval dome part out.
this would be great for fleet dioramas or an enterprise incident stand off diorama.

thanks Rawen!

Wow. Thank you for beta build. It looks like everything going well. Do you found any problems or innaccuarcies?

one slight misfit on the ball to neck on the cannon section. but that could just be my opinion. there was one I posted that had a ''slide'' on the actual part. I simply boxed it and slide it down a fraction. I looked on the pdf and it was there.
it was very difficult for me at this scale to do a good job, and I recommend to cut all tabs, as Zathros always says, other than that, I am real excited about all these 50th models!!! I have doubled the size on the KD7 and will light it up and post pics soon. again, every thing was very good detail, and I recommend this one for dioramas and such. thanks again!!

Wow!! That really looks good. That is an excellent model of a ship that is hard to model!! :)

I like the conical selection for the Ball part in front. Much better than "Petals". ;)

Thank you :) I appreciate it really much.
PS: If someone try the Star trek 50th anniversary set, please report me about the Klingon cruiser. I never build this version :)

I rushed a version of your DY-100 the other night. Its not really a fair build of the great model, as I was rushing it and I blew it up to 3x it planned size, but I was feeling a bit cheeky:

The first is the standard series configuration, the second how Matt Jeffereis saw the potential of the class, with a full load, and the third a combo partial load fore and full load aft.

The sail needed modification at this scale, to round out the top {which I didn't do!} and the solar panel mounts didn't hold well, so I configured some floral wire to support and added extra paper stripping. Like I said, not a fair build of the design but it did provide some fun for me.

Thanks RAWEN! I needed a break and the kit forced me to divert my mind from some heavy work this week!

Considering that this was a rushed build, you did a GREAT JOB on this project. I like that you made three different versions.

I have to be honest, I didn't! :angelic:

I jus made it where the cargo pod could detach and I could rearrange their compartment fit. I just took the pic with three different set ups for the pods.

I'm thinking about another, more careful build, at a slightly larger size, with modifications to the sail, to make the top & edges fit properly. I'd also have to change the struts from the engineering section to the solar panels.

Then again, I have been eyeing the Ptolemy...:Coffee:

Maybe sleep's not so necessary...

Looking forward to seeing that!

Nice build.

Could you post your fix here for the D-7?

I would have to check with the admin on that. and with Rawen.
even tho he said go ahead with my blessings on his models, I don't want to shadow his moment with this, maybe in a while. besides I was thinking of really going all out on some things with it.

this is a great shuttle model ! I creased in the back windows or shield emitters I don't know what the are really but you can see it sticks out a little instead of being flat. will post a few more later as I build it.

I thought the little red rectangle under them middle center is the impulse? I need batteries for my camera or I would post some pics on it

Finally got to take a pic.
Here are the sub assemblies.
Even tho it's very small, it goes together easily.
I used hot glue to drip globes on the nacelles, front and back.
I don't cut these small pieces until I am ready to glue them.
So far, all in all I am very pleased with this model!
