Did she see the movie? I still had my wife saying, "WTF, did I just watch?" I have a home Theater, 200" screen, LCD Projector, and was stopping every 10 minutes to try and explain. Oh well!

I think if you had Photoshop CS3 or CS5, you would have found that easy to upscale. With a printer, too many cut off parts. You really would need to rearrange parts and such. Of course, that makes it harder to play with. ;)
Photoshop CS3 or 5 you say... i'll have to try and find a copy n give it a try.. thanks Zathros

I wish I could give you a copy of mine. I can't. You should P.M. me. You could probably get CS3 off of EBAY cheap, and that is all you would need. CS5 features where incremental, and my limited abilities with Photoshop, the full blown package, did not justify the expenditure. However, you do very well with whatever you have, I just see good work. My wife would rather my models fit on a chain around my neck. So my 36" model of "Lilla Weneda", which looks like in just pulled into a harbor from some rough seas, is battered. Nothing the printing out of a few parts couldn't fix, my friend. ;)

No she didn't see the movie. she don't like them.... " you should stay in the real world" as she says. she has her family type movies to watch and i watch mine ( sometimes i gotta watch hers too..UGGG )

Similar response from my wife. I said, "you seem to be subconsciously understanding the movie. This isn't the real world. If it was, we would still be in living in the seconds that just pasted, we are riding a wife, particles, just ahead on the crest of the wave of time". She said: "Shut up", "I can't hear the movie". Watching "Cloud Atlas" was, well, quite taxing, though she was intrigued, murmuring "Motherf*ckers, and other obscenities, under her breath. That made me happy. It's nice to have a wife that is intelligent, well suited to me, though our areas of expertise and intelligence differ, we compliment each other. We too form a third person. That third person is an a$$hole sometimes, so it joins the ranks of all of us, our 3rd person is in good company. The third person we form actually has a name. I named it "Purgatory". My wife is married to one of the many me. A group marriage of sorts, involving the psyche of two people, who have formed many personal psyches and a third symbiotic one, that also has many psyches, but is better in whole than it's parts. :)

p.s. made you read. HaHaHa! :smoker::sticktongue::bulgeeye::hammerhead::Coffee:

:Bravo: :Smartass: yes you did. the second post sounds like me n my wife, to a point. she did watch some movies with me, she liked the first "lord of the rings" movie but as time went by she stopped watching a lot of shows. she has been battling mental illness for a long time. the last 6 months have been the worst for us both. its a good thing that i'm selfemployed or i wouldn't have a job since i can hardly leave the house or she goes into a panic. a lot of stuff happened to her before we met, and she told me a lot about it, but its been eating at her for years and now its all comming to a head, plus she has COPD, PTSD and a slight case of diabetes. we are working to get her help through a psychiatrist and different meds but it takes so damn long. sorry, didnt mean to rant about this stuff but this site and my modeling making helps keep me going and i'm right here at home if she needs me. but enough about this, i did some more work but the magnet strips i got will not work. not strong enough. got a few trick i could do though ( crush a few block mags into smaller pieces) that might work, will post pics of that fun time soon:sticktongue:

This forum, and what you just wrote, go and and hand. I can tell you that in many ways, I am to my wife what your wife is to you. Let's continue this talk in a P.M. I am going to send you. You have written nothing inappropriate. This forum is about us, building our models, but primarily "US", "WE" people of ZEALOT. The forum, the models, are a means for like minded people to get together, and be. I feel honored that you expressed what you did. See you in the P.M.. :)

You need "Industrial Strength magnets. I had some the size of a dime, that if the snapped together on your finger tip, they would crush it, and you would bleed from the little chunk of meat they just chewed off. You have to search hi and low for them. I would try a Michael's Craft Store". :)

if you want a Industrial Strength magnet, tear apart a microwave. one not working of course. the magnets in the "gun" are strong and will pinch too. i have a few , might try them. just afraid of it ripping things apart when i try to remove the landers and rangers, but what the hey, i can build more, right??:bulgeeye:

ok, got more done and i tried to "crush" a few magnets that i had to made smaller bits. yea. i got smaller bits all right . but hey, i had to try. ran up to the hardware store and bought a pack of 10 super strong ones. cutting and using the magnetic strip on the inside of the landers and the strong ones in the tube worked out good. think i might have it done tomorrow if things go right( yeeaaaa, not gonna bet on it).inter 002.jpgi love edge glue..not

I wish I knew how you could spread yourself so thin making all of these models. If you could bottle it, you make billions!! ;)

The model looks great. I really loved this movie. It also is something we should shoot for, real colonies, not on other planets, but in ships we make, and induce artificial gravity. It has to spin pretty quick for people not to get dizzy, there's a formula for this. This could be done by a big spinning ring, with time spent in weightlessness. This would allow fabrication of hard to do parts in gravity, such as replicating more habitats and fabrication of what needs gravity. The firt ships could be Space factories making ships based on the Bigelow/Boeing designs, but on a much larger scale. These ships, with their thick skins bounce off what would go through the I.S.S. and can be made to withstand extremely harmful radiation., and even better, they can move, and the LaGrange pints between Earth and the moon, and the other one on the dark side of the moon would require very little energy to stay still, yet, with solar power, and water, could create their own fuel.
