1024 x 768 would be better! You know, you could shove some Piezo electric speakers in those engine tubes, and being sealed up, get a 20 second sound chip, their cheap, and wire up some sounds!! Those same speakers could work like Microphones, and you could snoop too, you could have the first Viper BabyCam! Have a Compressed air tank (C)2) set to fire a pellet of a stream till it discharges all the pellets and zap the jerk you wish, they will never know where it came from. Be great at a model competition, you could literally blow away the competition! :)

I like the detail that you are putting in this model with the lights and wires (for piping). Both are a GREAT added touch.
I am really enjoying watching this thread. I am looking forward to seeing how it will all turn out.

Dan, this is one greeble no one has done that I believe will really take this model over the top. All needed is a little Exacto blade work, and some fabrication, simple fabrication. The pics below are self explanatory. See what I am trying to tell you? :)

I zathros,
Thank you very much for your comment. Correct me if i am mistaken. I think the piece must be concave and not convex. I am right ?

Ok...some update.... and thanks for your good comments

I dont know what's the name of these pieces but i call it "the donuts". I tried the initial buld but i didn't like the accuracy of it. So, i find some styrofoam sphere with the right diameter. The finish of these "balls" have some imperfections. To correct that, i put some plaster, sand it and paint the pieces.

Before gluing those parts, i welded the blinking LED lights on the wires.

Like I said, it was quick and dirty. It took me 5 minutes. The point was to cut the whole out of the housing, and recess the center portion, which could done easily, and in place, with a sharp Ex-acto blade, and a tube containing the rounded portion. That piece just doesn't look right. Not by the way you made it, but the design. If you recessed it to the bottom line, then made the insert "tube-like" assembly into it, and the round inside assembly pushed in even to be flat with that bottom line, I believe it would really add much depth to that area which is lacking depth, again, by design, not your build. :)

Looks great. You going to make light diffuse panels? The pic below has a nice balance. They couldn't be too bright or they would blind the other pilots. I like that they put the light deep in, not blocking the variable exhaust vanes. :)
