Nimh and Nicd

I am confused again. Some people say Nicd suffers from memory and others say Nimh does. Which one does? And how do you cure it?

NiCD's have a memory...NiMH's don't. The cure...use NiMH batts.

I recommand you to drian all the power out before charging no matter NiCd or NiMh like what I did!

I heard all NiCd-Cells will be discontinue. (To prevent pollution...Espetially in JAPAN)
Nicd have lower inner-resistance, but difference is small. I prefer NiMH.

nicads develope memory from not discharing them before charging and not fully charging
if they are shot you have to despose of them properly or recycle.NiMH you can throw in the garbage if they are no good.they are environmently friendly.i bet they will eventually discontinue the nicads.
