:P all here r expert. only unfold part and can guess, what is it...yes that is Westland Whirlwind, i know Dr.Zarkov create a great one in 1/72 and 1/32 scale but when i first saw his whirlwind, i promise myself to create mine too. now i can create my whirlwind in 1/48 scale below is picture of my test build

Looking great as always Nobi. Any chance you might give your hand a try at designing a plane with a clear canopy and a cockpit? Your designs are so seemless that the extra detail a cockpit would add would make them very stunning!

Hi there,

just have a time to final build my model, below is picture of part what color already



then all parts of fuselage are finish and wait to glue



look closer at nose



look closer at tail...i have some problem in coloring state :P i forgot to make shade at last piece of fusleage, i will correct in final kit...



then glue all together

Really nice Nobi,

I'm just curious how long it takes you to design a plane like this from nothing to the first test build? Because you sure seem to produce models really quick.

My eye is feel better but not turn to normal yet...now i use only right eye to design and build. left eye can see but not help me much on work doctor appoint me to see progress of my eye in end of this month, hope that day my eye is turn to normal

use assistant from computer program help u can design as fast as u can. study 3Dprogram (i recommend to metaseq for beginner or Rhino3D for advance) and u can design model as u want. i cant tell u how long for design model, it depend on subject and your health :P with my poor eye U-2 took nearly 2 months to release it and when my eye better...Whirlwind come out in 2 weeks but no instruction yet. keep design :P

continue my work today...today i add tail's pod what must make more attention to assemble. then add a canopy into.

50% finish of my Whirlwind...continue on wing today. wing begin with combine 2 pieces of wings together and make a wing's spar



and glue it together





test fitting with no glue yet



look closer at seam...Rhino3D did a good job for me.



and 2 wing finish then glue it into fuselage





engine tomorrow

I wish i can assemble as fast as Rob do :P today i work on engine.

below is a parts of engine before assemble



assemble it together


then put into wing


2 engines on each wing finish


tomorrow will be landing gear, wheel and propeller

Continue work, nearly finish... today is for landing gear...be careful with small parts

main landing gear




assemble together


glue it into its place




landing gear cover


tail landing gear...small parts


glue it into its position


look closer at tail's landing gear


and main landing gear


only propeller, bottom's pod and nose's gun left...what r your comments?

Finally i finish assemble my Whirlwind. after install propeller and gun...now she is on my shelf
