I have posted a photograph at http://bobw.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=324623
I’m looking for any information that anyone can give me about the engine, crew location, year etc. A little history, this photo was handed down to me from my Grandmother, my Great-grandfather was a freight train conductor. He is in the photograph I assume that the conductor in the photo is the man standing on the engine. I listed the photo as being from Pittsburgh, Pa around 1900. I’m again assuming that it was taken in that area only because that is where we are from. Thanks for looking Bob Wilson One response I received from another forum was: “It is a PRR F1 2-6-0 "Mogul" 43 built by the Altoona Shops between 1895-1897, 4 converted from F2. Belpaire firebox. I hope this helps you out. This is what I could find.” |
