It is getting so hot here in Tennessee (80-86 F) that I ran trains in the night and got this 1920 "night vision" shot of the train to Elkmont Tennessee.

Hi Sir James,

Is that the York Model Railway Show in Merry Ole England perchance?

I have been learning a lot from English railway modelers as that is where Garden Railways began.

I have really enjoyed Mark Found's series on British Garden Railways. Here is the first of his shows on the Discovery Channel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcMe1...I7KRoZ_oFKZXFQ

While not a as polished as a proper English Garden Railway I have really enjoyed the joys of working on a RR outside trying to recreate the mountains of Eastern Tennessee in the 1920's.

Here is another couple of pics.

Well here is the whole story:

Wild Flowers in the Great Smoky Mountains

Dr Theodore, Botanist at The University of Tennessee, makes his annual Spring wildflower pilgrimage in the Great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee. Each year he finds a unique specimen to take back to the lab in Knoxville.

But what is the whole crew of 2147 doing stopping the train and tramping on into the verdant forest?

Seems they like pretty flowers too for their girlfriends and wives back in Townsend and are going to pick them too.

Yes the TCA York Pa. meet was as always a lot of fun. Deals to be made and then of course those who think that every buyer is a collector with their way out of line prices. They still think it's the 1970s.
