Default Digitrax DH165KO decoder

Small problem I hope somebody can help with.

Fitted a Digitrax DH165KO decoder into one of my locos. Crawls up and down, so not problem there, but no lights.

See the photo which has two prongs at each end in the centre, and inside the power supply pick up which look like they should be the lights supply and return.

Can't get an electrical connection between the power and the lights. Nothing either end, and with the F0 (lights) on, and tried it with it off as well.

Contacted Digitrax who haven't replied so I thought I would try here. The decoder is fitted with a resistor so that the LED's should work, but I am not getting anything at all even when using a circuit tester.

Incidentally the diagram supplied in the instructions is different from the decoder i have.

Any help gratefully received.

I left it for a bit and came back to it last night. I had incorrectly wired the positive and negative wires from the motor so all is well, and the LED's light up ok now.

Because I model South American my loco outlines are provided by Frateschi from Brazil. Unfortunately they only seem to have one colour wire to connect everything up. It's brown. Quite simple to resolder the connections up with the NMRA standard colour scheme, but the two brown wires coming out of the the engine threw me because the engine was running ok sans lights. Rewire them the other way round and bingo, all ok.

I am hardwiring all my locos now with these Digitrax decoders, they are very smooth.
