This is a paper model I downloaded from a free site a while back. I will take a hiatus from warhammer and do something different. This is a fairly good model so far. There are some fit problems but nothing that can't be fixed. My background modeling has been of scratch building with styrene and other petroleum based products. With this model I will integrate some of that knowledge and add items not on the build sheet. The model is out there for free and I will located the site for you by next posting, unless somebody has it already. I will skip some of the build process and deal with some of my techniques. Enjoy.

Hmmm. Reinforcment. I'm sure there must be a way to introduce fero-concrete into card modeling. Of course I could just take the next step and move straight into printable Kevlar......
love what you are doing, I have one of these on my hard drive somewhere. |

I try to avoid those pesky pointed tabs as much as possible so I laminate to a thickness that will hold the parts together and make a tighter and better fit.

Making of cylinders using sockets from my wrench set. Glue does not stick to them and you can slide the cylinders off without the parts sticking.

As for the Viper, it's a jaybats' model. But Silveroxide is rapidly raising it to new heights. I really like the idea of using a socket set for cylinders.

I hope this does not offend but I had to post it, this Viper is actually made of paper and is actually an operational rocket. This is the only pic I have of this and no other info.

The viper is in dry dock awaiting resurrection or a new Gig.
Here are a few details of the landing gear, the schematics of how it should look and how it really look on the Viper actual. Another pic of where I am At. More build to come I was trying to get the link on the website I found these pics but it keeps sayin page not found. If you want to venture, it was on "retardzone.com", They had pretty good info on the Galactica, crew, sets and models . Last edited by silveroxide; 12-13-2008 at 09:15 PM.. |

This model is surprisingly fitted for details and upgrades. It has a lot of potential. On we go with the build.

Some how I lost my last posting, but here I go again. The project is finished, so now the only thing left is to download the pics and some trivia stuff. My thanks go out to "Leslie and to Jaybat" for the model. I enjoyed the construction and I hope that you will not take any umbrage for my modification of the finished project. Without further ado here are some more of the pics.
By the way Jaybat my next endeavor shall be the Mark II.... ![]() Last edited by silveroxide; 12-14-2008 at 10:43 PM.. |

I checked out the build on "squirrel" and my thanks goes out to the main MAN, " murphya," the designer. The other sites did not specify who the designer was. Without him this build would not have been possible.
