Putting some paint

Hi Guys:
I would like to know how you put on some "Dirt" on your models. On my tanks and some planes I use two mediums:

Almost dry water colors for "oil smudges", "mud", gun´s smoke etc....

Colored Chalk on sides of tanks, wings, tails, etc...... (I use a brush to smooth it)

I sometimes make a very clear wash with water color and it looks pretty good. You can do this on your flat parts and pass a warm iron on it.

And I defenitlly use my PC paint program which is Photoimpact

I don’t use chalk on paper models but with that exception I use all the methods you describe.
