HAKOS, HAKOS and more HAKOS

April 10, 2008 by CK Styles

Thought I would start a new thread with a bunch of HAKOS I have skinned / designed (some based off of exiting models and others "frankenstiened). Let me know what you all think. (HAKO: Japanese for Box shape). There is quite a variety and I plan on many, many more off-beat characters that haven’t been done in HAKO form before (that I know of). If your interested in building any, let me know! These are simple models I like to work on when not building the more complex models that are out there (Yamaha bikes etc.) I have posted these in another thread, but I felt that I was hijacking the original, hence I moved to this new thread. If anyone has suggestions for characters etc, let me know!!

ROBOCOP

HARVEY BIRDMAN and SPACE GHOST

SPIDER JERUSALEM (from Transmetropolitan)

RORSCACH (from Watchmen)

ALL FATHER and ARSE FACE (from Preacher)

JESSIE and TULIP (from Preacher)

SAINT OF KILLERS and CASSIDY (from Preacher)

SI COLTRANE and JODY (from Preacher)

CINDY DAGGETT (from Preacher)

HOOVER, FEATHERSTONE and HERR STARR (from Preacher)

WILL FERRELL (SNL Spartan Chearleader)

PAR D HARDEY HUSKER NATION

Roger that, Clif! I sure did. You have some nice looking models there .... You know who we could add to the garbage can model don't you? That would be fun! We'll have to get on the Legion of Doom and rest of the Justice League project very soon! I have a few more models in the works before that, though.

Well I hope everybody is enjoying these fun models. I haven't had much feedback, but judging by the number of visits, they seem to be well received? Anyway, here is the finishing touch on the Fat Albert Series, everyone's favorite superheroes, The Brown Hornet, Tweeterbell and Stinger.

Been a while since I've posted on this thread. Nothing new yet from me (been busy on the Bee), however here are a couple of very nice HAKO sites, taking their inspiration from Chris over on Cubeecraft. Enjoy these great sites!

Thanks DHL. These are very fun models to work on, even though they are simple. I hope to work on some new characters soon. Let me know if you have any download problems or ideas for characters.

Thanks Boba, I hope everyone finds them entertaining! I try to do characters that are not of the norm (as you can probably tell).

First up in a new series, EDUARDO from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. One of my favorite "modern" toons. It is really quite brainier than most think! ENJOY!

EDUARDO

I have adjusted the legs (shorter), the head (larger) and the horns (larger) since this pic. I haven't test built the revised version, but I thought it was needed and it should work ok. There may be a bit of trimming on the horns, but it should be good. Have fun.

No 3: Wilt

PM me for the link if you want him.

Wilt has been modified a bit since this pic. His legs and torso are longer to make him a bit taller! Have fun .....
