Genet Models M722 LEV build(s) by Sudsy

Also, I have another one of these on my workbench from a vacation where I started building one with more lamination. It'll get the Sudsy treatment (i.e. coated with acrylic paint)!

Well, it'll make a fun video when I film it burning. My Vulture model may turn it into target practice! A neighbor has loaned me a de-humidifier, so we should be drying out soon in spite of the next wave coming here in a few hours. At least this time I will be awake and have a pump in...

Glad you all like it! Thank you very much! I will have to make more... Once the dust settles!

For those who haven't ready Howard Tayler's webcomic "Schlock Mercenary" here is the origin story of the Maxim 32 above from his blog. Seems appropriate. Also, beware, that webcomic is addictive and has a DEEP archive (even though he finished the story).

Maxim 32. Everything is amphibious if you can get back out of the water. -The Seventy Maxims of Maximally Effective Mercenaries (Howard Tayler "Schlock Mercenary") Well, had a bit of a flood this morning. 8"/200 ish mm of water hit in overnight. We have a paper Armored vehicle down! Well...

    Sudsy's Methods: glue rivets video!

Sharing my secret sauce! Well, not really... I think I actually learned this here. I just happened to film myself and blabber unscripted about it. Here's to all the Zealots who taught me this recipe among many others!

    M113 style APC Build

Wow, I have been working on this since November 2023?! Yikes! I know it takes me a while to build... Well, I have had quite a few 3D printed distractions (well, hundreds really). Final paint and assembly complete! That's a build!

    M113 style APC Build

Final assembly and painting in progress! After priming in a dark burnt umber (Rustoleum dark brown camo), I dry brushed a layer of raw sienna and highlighted with another lighter drybrush of ivory. Once dry, I used Army Painter Speedpaints for the base color. These are similar to ink washes...

I have now gotten all of the major sub assemblies built and primed! Sepia acrylic ink for the track, rattle can dark brown (burnt umber) camo paint for the rest.

Sadly, when I looked for it, the video was no longer available. The YouTuber was a doll house miniaturist who was making a steampunk machine for one of her dollhouses, and I suspect she might of moved it behind a Member/Patreon paywall since I saw it.

Got some progress during the week! Greebles slowly getting added. Found a new rivet technique recently on YouTube to try, using canopy glue in a Luer lock bottle. It seems to work rather nicely!

There is some progress today on this build! Got the crew all built and painted. They are Mad Robot Miniatures bits (Classic Tanker heads, Crewman torsos, and fatigue arms and legs).

    Silveroxide Memorial build, Super Chimera

Final painting! Still needs some clear coat to seal it up though. Primer texture isn't too much of an issue on the final product. I do plan on revisiting this model in the future now that Inhave built one, enjoyed the build, and read all of Silveroxide's notes on his design thread for this...

    Silveroxide Memorial build, Super Chimera

Ran into some issues with the primer... but that texture at this scale may not be a huge issue.
